The Bridegroom's Invitation

The Times of Refreshing

 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

(Acts 3:19, NKJV).

Rising Stars

I saw God’s people like a field populated by acres of green grass; grass that had been knocked down, trampled under the foot of man, beaten by torrential storms; lying flat on the ground unable to stand.

Then I heard the Lord say :

You will soon arise, My people, and stand, for I Am sending My rain of refreshing, My light of Revelation, My life giving love to you. Then will your mouth be filled with laughter and your tongue with singing! In one accord you will say: ‘The Lord has done great things for us whereof we are glad!’”

dew on leaves - Copy

The beginning of times of refreshing had come! I watched as the field was sovereignly drenched with God’s favor and glory. The grass revived immediately; now standing bright, straight, and tall. In amongst this bright green grass, I saw something else. It looked like shining droplets of dew nestling within the blades of grass. Soon the sky turned dark and the droplets, once clinging to the blades of grass, began to rise. First one, then another zipped upward; becoming like lights in the night sky. Soon the darkness was illuminated by these shining bits of light. More and more of these were rising. All over the world, I could see this happening. As I looked closer and closer, I could see these little droplets, bright dots of light, were actually people; people who had been formed into the image of Christ. Separated from the green grass rooted below, they were being called upward from the earth at an alarming rate. I saw a group of angels each fitted with a long trumpet. At each blast, the droplets rose higher and higher until the sky was populated with thousands upon thousands of twinkling bits of dew-filled light.

Then all of a sudden, a glorious new day broke forth. As it did, these bits of light congregated together and once again took on the form of droplets of water. When gathered together, they became a rain filled cloud, soon to gently water the field of grass below with God’s Holy, life-giving Word.

All this was done so God‘s field on earth would prosper and grow, for one day soon the field would be mature. At this point, God would gather His people; His whole field to His Heavenly home. The reaping of the righteous on earth would then be finished. . .

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”  (Isaiah 55:10-11, NKJV).

Atmosphere in Heaven

The atmosphere on this train is very unique. It is a combination of the atmosphere of Heaven within us and Heaven around us.
This fragrance is pure and fresh, like a new born child.

Rosemary's grandchild - Copy

He’s made a place for you and me
Far above in the heavenlies

Where none can come with evil intent
Those who enter, He has sent

There is no day, there is no night
The Lamb of God, its only light

Now we rise to take this place
Filled with longing, worship, and grace

Soon we’ll stand in glory crowned;
Forever at His side we shall be found. . .

“You are truly royalty! The way you walk so gracefully in my ways displays such Dignity. You are truly the poetry of God—His very handiwork. Out of your innermost being is flowing the fullness of my Spirit—never failing to satisfy. . .Your life stands tall as a tower, like a shining light on a hill. Your revelation eyes are pure, like pools of refreshing—sparkling light for a multitude. Such discernment surrounds you, protecting you from the enemy’s advance. Even a king is held captive by your beauty. You stand in victory above the rest, stately and secure as you share with me your love. Now I decree, I will ascend and arise. I will take hold of you with my power. . .”  (Song of Songs 7, The Passion Translation, TPT)

The Kingdom Train

caboose alone

 Loose the Caboose

While on board the Kingdom Train, seated in the last train car with others, I heard two things from the Lord. First He said:

Those who were against you are now behind you.”

I turned to see behind us and saw a jolly looking red caboose. Those inside the caboose were having a wonderful time talking to one another, laughing, and busily milling around in the caboose. There was one problem, however. They were so absorbed in themselves and what they were doing that they were oblivious to the Lord’s direction. They weren’t listening to Him at all! They were also speaking against others; God‘s anointed servants.

Because of this, the second directive was to those who were in the last train car closest to the caboose. He said:

“Pull the pin and loose the caboose.”

This was very difficult to do emotionally, for we knew what would happen! We knew the ones in the caboose would not go towards the Heavenly Throne of our Father, but instead, would slide backwards; landing on the very bottom of the track.

In my case, this loosing, this pulling up of the pin, took several weeks for me to do. After strong crying and intercession for those in the caboose, I rather reluctantly “pulled the pin;” watching in the fear of the Lord as the caboose careened down the track; coming to a dead stop at the bottom of the hill.

The people inside were strangely ecstatic as they emerged from the caboose; thinking they had arrived at the pinnacle of success in God. Actually, it was just the opposite. They had been rejected; failing to pass a great test–the test of humility and dependence on God.

The people in the caboose had lost the opportunity to participate in what would ultimately be the last great Apostolic move of God. New Apostolic leadership would be chosen by the Lord from those who remained on the now steeply, upward-bound Kingdom train.

To be continued. . .

Don’t Get Off the Train!

Cloud-train

In a recent vision, I saw a “Kingdom Train.” The presence of the King lay heavily upon and within it. Glory streamed from each car. While on this train, I began to hear from the Lord for His people. First of all, He spoke three basic truths:

          The Place:  The train was moving on a single track heading North, straight as an arrow for the Throne of God.

          The Passengers:  The people on the train were all Believers in Yeshua; mature disciples of King Jesus. While on the train, all were carried completely “in Him.”

          The Principle:  The Divine engineer, with absolute authority over each disciple, was the Lord Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach, Himself.

Each person on this Kingdom train had been given a “spiritual ticket” indicating his or her seat and birth. The ticket also indicated how far the person would go on this train. At various points, the train would stop; unload some passengers and receive others. It would then move purposely forward. From my seat on the train, I couldn’t actually see where it was heading, but I knew in the Spirit. We were moving North toward the heart of God; closer, ever closer to Him. Our destination, carried in Jesus Himself, was the bosom of the Father, the place where the Son resides.

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him”  (John 1:18).

Then I heard our Lord speak:  “Don’t get off the train until you arrive at the Throne!” This was a severe warning, but not heeded by all. It reminded me of the ten virgins in Matthew 25. The five virgins who continued on to meet the Bridegroom were wise; the five foolish ones turned back. The ones who didn’t get off the train corresponded to the five wise virgins; those who made it all the way to meet the Bridegroom. The foolish would be unable to continue on the journey. They would, at some point, disembark.

At this, His Word of warning, some of us stayed on the train watching as others got on or off. The train climbed higher and higher. Fewer people were boarding the train at each stop now; many, however, were disembarking. The ones who remained had no work to do, so in this time frame, we:

Waited – Renewing vital strength:  “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint”  (Isaiah 40:31, NKJV).

WatchedReceiving wisdom and understanding, a much greater knowledge of our Heavenly Father:  “Wisdom is the principal thing therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7, KLV).

WorshipedReveling in a glorious new anointing, bowing deeply before Him:  “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him”  (John 4:23, NKJV).

Now we knew! The people who remained on the train were all worshipers; headed for the Throne to worship our God in the strength of the Spirit, in greater understanding and truth, in the anointing of the Spirit, the Ruah HaKodesh. We had been sought out by our Father for this one express purpose:  to worship and minister to Him at His Throne. We would soon join the great throng of His people, “And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: ‘Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!’” (Revelation 5:13).

Wow! Amazing! Our excitement was building! We could hear the throng of angels rejoicing as we now climbed vertically, speedily! Then, all of a sudden, with joy unspeakable beating within us, we burst triumphantly into the Throne room of Heaven. I watched intently as one man now left the train and walked straight ahead; never looking back. He entered the circular rainbow around the Throne and was gone; caught up forever into the all consuming presence, the loving rest in the embracing bosom of the Fatherhood of God.

Glory! Glory! Glory!

P.S. I can hardly wait! My turn and yours is next! It is soon. Please be warned, once you embark on this journey, no matter the delay, please “Don’t get off the train!”

Jerusalem, July 2017 — To God Be the GLORY!

Bill and I were sent to ISRAEL in July and August with the following Scripture and Word from the Lord:

The Scripture:
“‘l am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.’” (Zechariah 1:16)

The Word:
“There will be an incident on the Temple Mount.”

And so we left for Israel. Because we stepped out in faith, we witnessed one of the greatest miracles in Israel in 2,000 years. All we did and prayed lead up to this miracle moment; the moment, since the destruction of the Second Temple in 7O AD, when the Jewish people were able to pray on the Temple Mount.

I have been overwhelmed at the mercy and workings of God in Israel since returning to Scottsdale. I felt Jesus’ (Yeshua’s) broken heart toward Jerusalem while there and still do. How He longs to gather her under His wings. I hope this brief report, mostly in pictures, will give you a sense of the importance of this mission . . . as we did our small part through obedience, love for the people, the prophetic Word, and declarative prayer to help restore Jerusalem to her God.

is, to the coming of the Messiah!)

The Temple Mount vacated by Muslim worshipers. Now opened to Jewish people to worship and pray. “These things says He who is holy.  He who is true . . . . ‘He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens’” (Revelation 3:7, NKJV).  I am so grateful to have seen Him OPEN the Temple Mount to the Jewish people. Thank You, Lord!

It’s the first time in 2,000 years, since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD, that Jews                                                    were allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. Amazing!

Word to Israel — “The Latter Rain”

Word from the Lord / April 30, 2018

I am sending My latter rain to the earth, for it has had the former rain lightly. This rain is for growth upward. The latter rain will now fall. It is for maturation of the fruit. As a husbandman waiteth for the crops to mature, so I have waited, lo, all these years until now–for now is the time My Bride will mature and shine forth in the Kingdom of My Father. As she arises and shines, I will send another shower of blessing upon My people. It will be the double blessing of the former rain and latter rain upon the people. I am positioning My people right now to receive this rain. When they do, they will very quickly grow stable roots downward and bear fruit upwards.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand” (James 5:7-10).

Hallelujah!

Off to Israel with this beautiful, positive Word. Our first meeting in the land of Israel was with Bridges for Peace. They loved the picture for the new immigrants (Olim in Hebrew) that daughter Debbie brought. We finished meeting the staff at their main headquarters in Jerusalem, then drove with Terry, the head of the organization, to their distribution headquarters. It was a cloudy, rainy day. “This rain is very unusual. This is a latter rain. We don’t usually have rain after Passover. It is very significant,” Terry explained.

Since I had a Word of the “Favor of the Lord,” I was very interested in this latter rain event. One Scripture, especially, drew my attention. It linked the latter rain to the favor of the Lord: “In the light of the king’s face is life, and His favor is like a cloud of the latter rain” (Proverbs 16:15). What confirmation!

Terry continued, “The former rain is for growth (germination), but the latter rain is for quick maturation.” I then understood the favor that God was bringing. It was for the blessed latter rain and maturation of the grain. I knew instantly this spoke prophetically of the maturation of the people of Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel); favor for the Nation and favor for His people, both Jews and non-Jews, worldwide.

Rain in Scripture is representative of the Holy Spirit and His work. The former rain came prophetically at Pentecost with the immense outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. The latter rain symbolizes the second great visitation; the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ. This comes when His Bride has matured through the latter rain work of the Holy Spirit.

Do you see this? If so, it is very exciting, isn’t it? The Bride is maturing and readying herself for her Bridegroom’s appearance. She will have His character formed within her; enough character to carry the weight of glory soon to fall upon her.

In the weeks since we left the Land, Israel has begun to see the favor; beginning with the move of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s eternal capital–Jerusalem. At home in Scottsdale now, I am praying for “rain in the time of latter rain”–prayers for His mighty blessings to fall as rain upon you and your family.

Ask the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain” (Zechariah 10:1).

Shalom . . . . . . Penny

Face to Face (with Jesus)

“This is the generation of them that seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob”

(Psalm 24:6, RSV).

As we know, those who seek FIND. Here we go. . .

Jesus and Bride phote

The vision:

The scene opened in a large cathedral or synagogue. The occasion was the wedding supper of the Lamb. First came the wedding ceremony. Guests streamed in through open doors and down the center aisle.

Jesus (Yeshua) stood at the altar. All the guests came forward to greet Him. Each responded to Him in the primary way they knew Him. To some, He was Lord and they bowed before Him. With great appreciation, He received their worship. To others, He was Commander and Chief. They saluted. He saluted back and gave them their “orders.” To many, He was provider. They prayed. He gladly answered their prayers! Each one was acknowledged and loved by Jesus.

After all these had greeted Jesus, they were seated; every person an honored guest; “. . .  blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9, NKJV).

After the last one was in place, Jesus’ focus changed dramatically. He was no longer absorbed by the guests at His wedding. Instead, He looked intently; eyes fixed on one ravishing, beautiful girl; His true and faithful church – “These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb” (Revelation 14:4, NKJV). The Bride stood at the opposite end of the aisle waiting for His signal. Then with His right hand, He motioned for her to come. She began to move toward Him. Her eyes and His met and locked in overwhelming love and passion. Soon, they would be eternally ONE. All the guests would soon celebrate with them at the “marriage supper of the Lamb.”

The vision ended.

I know from this vision and Word that now is the time for the Bride to focus totally on HIM alone. Everything else will become, as the song says, “. . . strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

Our walk will be straight and narrow. There will be no distraction. We will soon see our Bridegroom FACE to FACE and glory in unbroken fellowship; satisfied with His love throughout eternity.

“Jerusalem Inhabited as Towns Without Walls . . .”

Zechariah 1:14-16  and Zechariah 2:4,5

On this, the 100th Anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, (http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/the-balfour-declaration), this prophecy was released to me. Enjoy!

Placed strategically in the midst of the valleys surrounding her, Jerusalem stands . . . a city with fortified walls. Below is a picture of the “City of David” built 3,000 years ago and continues to be unearthed. Debbie, Sophie, and I stood at its highest point, presumably on top of the remains of King David’s palace itself. From this vantage point we could see the hills surrounding Jerusalem . . . from the Mount of Olives, continuing through Mount Zion and extending 360 degrees around; making a natural defense barrier for her. Surely, this could become a “city without walls.” But how? We know scripturally that Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies. The indication from Luke 21:20 is its destruction. But, either before or after these things occur, either a new day or an intermission from conflict is coming for this, the City of the Great King. To this end, we prayed. To this end, eschatologically, I saw. My hope is that this vision speaks of an interlude that will be soon and last long.

Vision: By the grace and revelation of our God, I saw Jerusalem become a bastion of peace, a city defended; without need of any walls. The city was safe! The people were safe! As I looked in the Spirit, I saw warring angels upon every hill surrounding the city. God Himself, the Lord of Hosts, was defending her. Our God will be, as the scripture says, “A wall of fire around her and the glory in the midst of her.” As we prayed, I saw war begin. This multitude of angels stood; fiercely prepared as vast enemy armies approached; coming up the backside of the mountains with tanks, infantry, and munitions. These armies had one intention; “conquer Jerusalem!” Suddenly, acting at the awesome commanding voice of the Lord God Almighty, the angels went into action, hurling “hail stones” and “balls of fire” down the mountains. A glorious light then immediately filled the whole interior space; reaching from earth to Heaven. Shortly after this war was won, Jerusalem was in peace. She was never touched.

How I thank God for the confirmation that followed this revelation. First, a Messianic Pastor in Jerusalem told me he had the same vision. He was standing on the Mount of Olives when he, too, saw the band of angels on the mountains surrounding Jerusalem. Shortly after, our Bishop over the African meetings which were going on in Kenya, wrote to say that he, too, had a vision of angels on the mountains surrounding the city.

May this be a time not only of external peace, but of internal as well…peace for people that the walls within their hearts might come down, a time when they are prepared to receive their God, that they might say, “Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord.” Those of us already saved know that Name above all names, the beautiful name of Jesus, Yeshua, our Messiah and King.

So, to you Jerusalem I say:

Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah

“Then I Saw . . .”

“The Opening of the Sealed Scroll”

Image by Pat Marvenko Smith

A door flung open . . . a view of the sky,
Wings now unfurled and upward I fly.

Seeing more clearly, a vision appears;
Yeshua stands strongly, the Lamb sheds a tear.

Eyes all around Him, nothing hidden from sight.
His power almighty to set everything right.

A scroll He is given; all Heaven is clear.
The end of all things is frightfully near.

                                                                           Penny

“And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne
and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of
the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain,
having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the
seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Step Out!

God Called Me Jacob

How difficult it is to be unique, i.e., different from the crowd and, therefore, often misunderstood by man. Yet, if we walk the path God has ordained for our lives, we will undeniably be both. Throughout history, God searches for those individuals who will step out to follow Him; to become the uniquely different people He called them to be. At the very beginning of our Judeo Christian heritage, uniqueness clearly appears in the lives of the patriarchs of Israel. Of the three patriarchs chosen by God – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, it is Jacob who is the most unique; the least understood and certainly the least revered. Yet, out of his genetic pool were born the entire twelve tribes of the nation of Israel. More was produced from his life numerically in extending God’s kingdom on earth than Abraham and Isaac’s lives combined. Abraham began the nation; Isaac continued the nation. But, it was through the life of Jacob that God’s desire for a people for Himself was advanced and increased. We are in desperate need today for advancement in the Kingdom of God: both through God’s nation, Israel, and God’s body, the church.

Throughout recent history there have been those like Abraham who have been chosen by God to begin…birthing both the nation of Israel and new movements in the body of the Messiah, the church. We have had those who have caught the fire of those beginnings; then continued developing, building on what was begun, as did Isaac. Now, where are the Jacobs who will take this fire from their predecessors and run forward to bring dramatic, worldwide extension of the Kingdom of God? It could be you and me!

However, if the Kingdom of God is to be advanced and increased through our lives, we, as Jacob, need to develop and demonstrate our uniqueness in God; to step out of the box, go over the wall, outgrow the ordinary, and venture beyond the limits of the possible into the miraculous realm of the Kingdom of God.

Walk with me, if you will, through the God ordained journey of the most unique, impossible, improbable, paradoxical life of one named Jacob, the one God hand-picked to advance and extend His kingdom. I know this man well, for “early one day,” God also called me “Jacob.” I hope you will enjoy reading and understanding parts of my life’s journey, too. As you read, may He give you tremendous insight into His patterns and plans for you; for you are a very special, very unique child of God.

Jacob’s Lament

 God called me Jacob early one day.
Oh, don’t call me Jacob, I earnestly prayed;
Surely there’s a name I could accept
Better than Jacob; that makes me upset!

 Call me firstborn, I cried from my innermost parts;
I could serve You as leader,
I’m quick and I’m smart,
But God called me Jacob as right from the start.

 Call me blessed, for then I know I could bless
Others around me; don’t let me be less.
“Jacob is cunning, surely, and proud;
Your name is still Jacob,” God said out loud.

 Call me delivered, responded my soul;
Perhaps You’ll remove all that is foul.
“Yes, you are Jacob,” my Father declared,
“And much of your personality is snared.”

 All caught in traps, I know You’ll undo;
Call me restored, Father, please for my sake move.
“In all this you’re Jacob,” God did respond,
“And each cry of your heart, I’ll meet without bound.

 For Jacob I love you as I look at your heart,
And behold great beauty not there at the start.
You’ll no longer be Jacob,” my Lord did explain;
Israel now is a much better name.

 You’ve learned your lessons,
Well you’ve been taught;
Older and wiser, more humbly you’ll walk.
I’ll trust you to share
In all that I do,
And in this day, My church
Will honor you, too.”
