Get Up Into the High Mountain!

View of the original City of David including Mount Zion

“O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah, ‘Behold your God.'”
(Isaiah 40:9)

The Lord’s visions to me have begun a new focus. All of them focus on an overcoming remnant people moving upward in His New Kingdom plan. In the most recent of these visions, two groups of people stood apart at variance to one another. These two groups were holding onto opposite ends of a strong rope stretched tightly between them.

One group, Jerusalem, was a type of the “Church Age.” Each was beautifully dressed in glistening white robes. Those in this group stood down in a deep valley, immersed in the crystal clear river of God. These were part of God’s covenant people. They were chosen to remain safely in the valley, bathed in God’s River. The white robes they wore indicate the righteous acts of the saints. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:8).

The other group, Zion, was a type of the “Kingdom Age.” Those in this group were clothed in camel-hair as was John the Baptist. These rough, vexing, very humble robes indicated the constant discipline of God. Though this discipline caused much suffering, the suffering was worth it. For underneath these irritating robes, these people had been changed into the image of the light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. I could see they were filled to overflowing with His blazing, glorious light. This quite small group were forerunners; the present day overcoming remnant people of God. They were chosen, as Zion the people, to ascend in Spirit, Zion the mountain.

Looking upward in vision, I could see the whole of Mount Zion. On the very top of this mountain, shrouded in His awesome presence, stood the Throne of God. “For The Lord hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation” (Psalm 132:13).

I then turned my vision toward the two groups, Jerusalem and Zion. As I looked, I saw again the strong rope between them. There was a great struggle. The remnant people, Zion, those on the mountain, were trying to pull the people, Jerusalem, those in the valley, up the mountain. Those in the valley were trying to pull the people on the mountain down into the valley.

It was a tug of war!

As I watched this tug of war, I heard The Lord speak authoritatively to those on the mountain:

“Let go!” (of the rope)

One in this group prayed: “Father, may we let go of the rope by degrees? If we let go too fast, the sudden slack in the rope will cause those in the valley to fall.”

God was pleased with the prayer. “This was,” He said, “Governmental wisdom which is given by revelation from the Father. Those chosen to ascend the mountain,” He explained, “will receive much revelation of this ‘Governmental wisdom’ in days to come.”

I asked the Lord: “Who are these ‘ascendant ones?’ What makes them different from the others?”

He answered: “They are My present day ‘Heroes of Faith.’ They have and continue to suffer much tribulation, testing, and trial. These are the soon to be glorified ones; those who will represent My glory which will be revealed in this latter time.”

It is written: If indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 17-18).

God explained:

We are at the tail end of the “Church Age” and will soon be entering the “Kingdom Age.”

He will mightily use Zion, these glorious heroes of faith, in His soon coming Davidic, Messianic Kingdom. They will be His “Kingdom Age” ruling ambassadors. Right now these, and only these, are being taken from function in the “Church Age.” Soon they will be placed by Him in their new function in the emerging “Kingdom Age.”

In preparation for this Kingdom position, they are entering a time of sovereign training by the King. After this training is complete, He will place each one in his or her ruling position. During their training, however, He will allow them to practice functioning with Him in a limited way. I call this period their “trans millennial” position. It is called  “trans millennial”  for this place of function will begin during the end of  the “Church Age” and extend into the Millennium reign of the Kingdom of God.

Thinking about this “trans millennial” training and function, I am reminded of the Tabernacle of David on Mount Zion. In this tabernacle, King David erected two distinct tents. One tent, or tabernacle, housed the Ark of The Covenant, God’s abiding presence. This tent was exclusively for worship of God, the King. The other tent contained the throne of the King. This tent was for exercise of the government of the King.

In the Kingdom Age, the Tabernacle of David will be established in function again, for the Lord says in His Word:

I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old” (Amos 9:11).

Zion, the small, ascending group of “trans millennials” is now being radically separated from those in the valley. They must let go of the rope and end the tug of war I saw in the vision. They will then turn, leave behind those still in the “Church Age” and climb to the top of Mount Zion. There, they will be trained to assume this new Kingdom placement and function. These on Mount Zion will be involved in the “Kingdom Age” in the following two primary functions of the Tabernacle of David:

(1) Worship, as priests of God, where they bow in the holy presence of God and come under His Kingdom authority

(2) Government, as kings with God, where they join Him at His throne in the exercise of His Kingdom authority

These separated people will very quickly rise and take their place in the top of the mountain to begin training for their ministry in the Kingdom of God. These chosen by God as His faith-filled forerunners and overcomers will shortly begin the process of “Ruling and Reigning” with Christ Jesus (Yeshua Hamashiach) at His throne. As it says in Revelation 3:21, To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Their function in the Kingdom realm will quickly usher in a new Kingdom Messianic era. From this worshipful, governmental position, we will see the fulfillment, in part, of the following scriptures:

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many Nations shall come and say’ let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us of His ways and we shall walk in His paths.’ For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples” (Isaiah 2:2), (Micah 4:1).

According to these Scriptures, the mountain of the Lord’s house will eventually be a place for ALL people. This will happen during the fullness of the Messianic Kingdom age.

It will be a place of:

Learning:  “He will teach of His ways.”

Law:  “He shall judge many peoples.”

Life (Revival):  “All nations shall flow to it.”

Those who are overcoming forerunners will be involved in administration in all three areas. They are now about to climb Mount Zion in the Spirit, coming closer to their Divine destiny; to rule and reign, to worship and adore, to teach, to judge, to bring new life.

Rejoice if you can identify as part of Zion! You have been chosen as His faith-filled overcoming forerunners. You will inhabit and function in Zion with Jesus, Yeshua Ha Maschiach, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords in His new Kingdom place.

What an honor! What a joy!

“Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!” (Isaiah 12:6).

Let go of the rope. Start climbing. You’ll be there soon!
